As the proverb goes “All good things must come to an end”. Elephant Rock has had a tremendous “ride” dating back 35 years; one of the state’s longest standing cycling traditions. When the ride first began, Castle Rock was a little country town of 10,000 residents, today it’s a bustling bedroom community with over 80,000 residents and growing.
Elephant Rock has always pride itself in offering an excellent ride only to be matched by it’s post-ride festivities. We are committed to that same experience for our final swan song as we bid farewell to the ride where so many friendships have been forged and memories created.
This year we will have three road courses (45, 62 and 100 miles), and one great family ride (12 miles). It all goes down June 5 in Castle Rock, Colorado, with all rides starting and finishing at the Douglas County Fairgrounds.
And the rides are only half the party! The Colorado Bike Expo on June 5 will feature scores of cool exhibitors, demos, live music, food and more.

Transition is the 4 th and often overlooked discipline in triathlon
This hour-long clinic will teach you tips and tricks you may have never known about that will speed you through transition and make you feel fast and confident whether it’s your 1 st race or 100th!
We will walk you through everything from setting up your transition (both using bags like Ironman and setting up a single transition spot at your bike like you would for sprint and Olympic distances) and how to go from sport to sport with ease and efficiency.
We will practice all of this so bring everything you’d use on race day. (see list below) and for those already confident in their transition skills, still come practice with us!
We will also teach you how to do a flying mount and flying dismount on your bike, which is not only a huge time-saver, but it’s actually the safest way to get through what can often be a tricky spot…plus you’ll just look cool!
Patrick’s times in transitions are typically under a minute!!
